Shipping & Delivery Policy

Office Stock offers reliable shipping across South Africa, with clear lead times and dependable courier partners.

1. Delivery timeframes

Delivery times are shown on product pages and confirmed again at checkout. Lead times below are estimates and may vary depending on your location and supplier availability.

  • In-stock (standard) items: 3–7 business days

  • Custom / made-to-order items: 10–15 business days

  • Imported chairs and desks (not in stock): up to 21 working days

  • Remote / outlying areas: may take longer due to courier routes and access

Important: Weekends and public holidays are not counted as business/working days.

January manufacturing delays (seasonal notice)

Please note that lead times are often longer in January due to annual factory shutdowns in the office furniture industry. In most cases:

  • Order books for the previous year close around 25 November, and

  • Many manufacturers close from approximately 15 November to 15 January for the Office Furniture Trade Union holiday period for factory workers.

Because production pauses during this period, January orders can take longer while factories reopen, restart production schedules, and catch up on the days lost in December.

2. Processing & dispatch

  • Orders are typically processed within 1–2 business days once payment is confirmed.

  • Dispatch takes place once items are ready and packaged, and you’ll receive tracking details as soon as your order leaves our warehouse/supplier.

3. Shipping fees

  • Shipping is calculated at checkout based on delivery location, item size/weight, and delivery method.

  • Free shipping may apply to bulk orders (where available and depending on delivery address).

4. Delivery method & access

To help avoid delays, please ensure:

  • Someone is available to receive and sign for the delivery (where required).

  • Your delivery address is correct and includes complex/building names, access codes, and contact numbers.

  • If access is restricted (e.g., estates, security, loading bays), please share instructions in the order notes.

Large items: Some items may ship in multiple boxes or as separate consignments. Deliveries are usually ground-floor/kerbside unless otherwise arranged.

5. Order tracking

  • Tracking details are sent once your order is dispatched.

  • If your order ships in multiple consignments, you may receive more than one tracking number.

6. Delivery issues, damages, or delays

If your order is delayed, incorrect, or arrives damaged:

  • Email support@officestock.co.za with your order number and photos (if applicable).

  • Please report visible damage within 24 hours of delivery so we can assist quickly with the courier and supplier.

7. Need it urgently?

If you have a deadline, contact us before placing your order, and we’ll:

  • Confirm stock availability

  • Recommend in-stock alternatives

  • Provide the most accurate estimated delivery window
