Shipping & Delivery Policy

Office Stock delivers throughout South Africa using courier, freight, supplier-direct and specialist furniture-delivery partners. Delivery availability and cost depend on the product, quantity, destination, access conditions and assembly requirements.

Charges and quotations

Checkout delivery charges are based on information supplied. Large, remote, multi-site or installation orders may require a separate written delivery quotation before acceptance.

Estimated lead times

  • In-stock standard items: generally 3–7 business days.
  • Custom or made-to-order furniture: generally 10–15 business days.
  • Imported or supplier-backorder products: up to 21 working days or as quoted.
  • Remote or outlying areas: additional transit time may apply.

These are estimates unless a written agreement expressly makes a date essential. Weekends and South African public holidays are excluded. Factory shutdowns may extend lead times; material delays will be communicated.

Delivery information and access

The customer must provide an accurate address, postal code, contact person and all estate, campus, mine, loading-bay, stair, lift or security requirements before dispatch. Standard furniture delivery is to a reasonably accessible ground-floor or loading area unless room placement, stairs, assembly or installation is expressly included. Reasonable redelivery or extra-handling charges may apply when delivery fails due to incomplete information or no authorised recipient being available.

Dispatch and tracking

Orders are usually processed within one to two business days after cleared payment or approved credit authority. Products may arrive separately when dispatched from different suppliers or warehouses. Tracking is supplied when the carrier supports it; specialist furniture vehicles may arrange delivery by telephone.

Receiving orders

  • Ensure an authorised adult is available to receive and sign where required.
  • Check package quantities and visible condition before signing.
  • Record visible damage or shortages on the delivery document where possible.
  • Keep packaging until goods have been checked and assembled where applicable.

Signing confirms physical receipt and does not waive a hidden-damage or statutory defect claim.

Damage, errors, shortages and delays

Email sales@officestock.co.za with the order number, affected item and photographs as soon as reasonably possible. Reporting visible transit damage within 24 hours helps preserve courier evidence but does not remove a statutory right. If goods are incorrect, damaged before delivery or materially short, we will provide the remedy required by law. For a material delay, we will provide an updated estimate and, where the CPA or agreement allows, an alternative or cancellation option.

Assembly and installation

Assembly or installation is included only when stated on the product, quotation or order. The customer must ensure that the site is safe, accessible and ready. Delays caused by an unsafe or unready site may be rescheduled and reasonably charged.
