Our Story
Office Stock is a South African, founder-led business built on more than three decades of experience in the office furniture industry.
Founder Johan Watson began his career in 1994 at Orbros Office Furniture in Sebenza, Edenvale. There, he was mentored by the late Mr Eric Orelowitz, whose guidance helped shape Johan’s knowledge of the industry and his commitment to honest, dependable service. After Mr Orelowitz passed away in 1997, Johan continued developing his experience at Walton’s and through office furniture project management.
In 2007, Johan established his own office furniture company. Since then, he has contributed to major projects for organisations including Eskom, Sasol, Spoornet, Portnet and Transtel, as well as numerous government departments and leading municipalities. This experience gave Office Stock a practical understanding of projects of every size—from individual home offices and growing businesses to complex corporate and public-sector installations.

Office Stock has always embraced new ways of doing business. Johan launched one of the industry’s early Joomla-based ecommerce furniture websites and later expanded his expertise into web development, Google search optimisation and accounting-platform implementation. He remains closely involved behind the scenes, combining industry knowledge with technology to make it easier for customers to find, compare and purchase the products they need.
