1. Supplier and agreement
The supplier is Office Stock (Pty) Ltd, trading as Office Stock in South Africa. The website is https://officestock.co.za. Sales enquiries may be sent to sales@officestock.co.za or made by telephone on +27 10 412 0170.
These terms apply to use of the website and to quotations and orders accepted by Office Stock. A quotation, product-specific term, credit agreement or written project agreement may add to these terms. If a term conflicts with a right that cannot lawfully be excluded, the applicable statute prevails.
2. Product information and availability
We aim to present accurate names, specifications, images, colours, dimensions, lead times and stock information. Screen settings, natural materials, manufacturing tolerances and supplier changes can produce reasonable variation. Confirm critical dimensions, finishes and compatibility before ordering.
Products and prices remain subject to availability until an order is accepted. If an item becomes unavailable or a material listing error is identified, we will contact you with a suitable alternative, revised lead time or refund option.
3. Pricing, VAT and payment
- Prices are displayed in South African Rand (ZAR).
- VAT treatment is shown on the product, quotation or checkout where applicable.
- Delivery, installation and special handling may be quoted separately.
- An order is released only after the required payment or approved credit authority.
Payments are processed by banks or authorised payment providers. Never send card numbers by email or messaging. EFT customers must verify bank details using an independently known Office Stock contact before payment; we are not responsible for payment made to altered or fraudulent bank details where reasonable verification was not performed.
4. Orders, acceptance and cancellation
An order acknowledgement confirms receipt, not final acceptance. Acceptance occurs when Office Stock confirms the order for fulfilment or dispatches the goods. We may request verification or decline an order where payment fails, stock is unavailable, fraud is suspected, a pricing error is obvious, or fulfilment would be unlawful.
Standard goods may be cancelled before dispatch, subject to costs already reasonably incurred. Made-to-order, specially sourced, assembled or personalised goods can only be cancelled where law allows or Office Stock agrees in writing; a reasonable cancellation charge may apply. Statutory cooling-off rights remain unaffected.
5. Delivery, access and risk
Delivery dates are estimates unless a written agreement expressly makes a date essential. Customers must provide a complete address, responsible contact person and any estate, loading-bay, stair, lift or security restrictions. Extra handling or a failed delivery caused by missing or inaccurate information may be charged where reasonable.
Risk passes as provided by the Consumer Protection Act and the agreed delivery method. Ownership remains with Office Stock until payment is received in full, to the extent permitted by law. See the Shipping & Delivery Policy.
6. Returns, statutory guarantees and warranties
Consumers retain the rights provided by the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (“CPA”) and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 (“ECTA”). Nothing in these terms limits a non-excludable right.
- Qualifying electronic transactions may be cancelled within ECTA’s seven-day cooling-off period, subject to statutory exceptions and direct return costs.
- Goods must be reasonably suitable, of good quality, in working order and durable for a reasonable period, subject to their nature and disclosed condition.
- Where the CPA’s six-month implied warranty applies to defective goods, the consumer may be entitled to repair, replacement or refund as the law provides.
Manufacturer warranties may provide additional cover. See the Refund & Return Policy and Warranty Policy.
7. Accounts and acceptable website use
Keep account credentials confidential and notify us promptly of suspected misuse. You may not interfere with website security, scrape at a harmful rate, submit unlawful content, impersonate another person, or use the website to commit fraud.
Office Stock and its licensors retain rights in the website, brand, original content and software. Product manufacturers retain their respective marks and materials. Reasonable personal or internal-business use is allowed; republication or commercial reuse requires permission.
8. Liability
We do not exclude liability that South African law prohibits us from excluding. Subject to that rule, neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss that was not reasonably foreseeable when the agreement was concluded. Business customers should back up data and independently assess whether products meet specialised regulatory, ergonomic, technical or safety requirements.
We are not responsible for delay caused by events reasonably outside our control, but will communicate material delays and take reasonable steps to reduce their impact.
9. South African law and disputes
South African law governs these terms. Please contact Office Stock first so we can try to resolve a complaint promptly. A consumer may also approach the National Consumer Commission, a relevant ombud or a competent South African court where applicable.
Official legislation: read the Consumer Protection Act and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act.
